Convert TRX to Energy, Bandwidth — and see your staking reward
Simple, live conversion based on the current TRON network staking rate — plus the voting reward your frozen TRX earns from the highest-paying Super Representative.
How to convert TRX to Energy or Bandwidth
Freezing TRX on the TRON network (Stake 2.0) generates Energy or Bandwidth proportional to your stake relative to the total amount frozen network-wide for that resource, refreshed every 24 hours. Because the total network stake changes over time, the exact amount of Energy or Bandwidth you get per TRX also drifts — this calculator always uses the current live rate rather than a fixed number.
Use TRX → Resources to see how much Energy or Bandwidth a given stake produces per day, or switch to Resources → TRX to work backwards from a target amount — for example "I need 65,000 Energy a day, how much TRX do I need to freeze?"
What is TRON Energy?
Energy is the computational resource TRON smart contracts consume — every USDT (TRC-20) transfer, token swap, or contract call needs it. Without enough Energy, the network burns TRX directly to cover the shortfall. Freezing TRX for Energy lets you cover these costs passively instead.
What is TRON Bandwidth?
Bandwidth covers the network resources used by simple operations like plain TRX transfers and account activity. Every account gets a small free daily allowance; freezing TRX for Bandwidth generates more on top of that.
How much Energy does a USDT transfer need?
A standard USDT TRC-20 transfer to an existing wallet costs around 65,000 Energy; sending to a brand-new, unactivated wallet costs roughly double, around 131,000 Energy. Use the quick buttons above to jump straight to these reference amounts.
Does the staking rate stay fixed?
No — the Energy and Bandwidth generated per TRX staked depends on the total TRX frozen network-wide for that resource, which changes continuously. This calculator always reads the current rate rather than a hardcoded value, so the numbers reflect the real network state.
What is the Staking Reward card?
Freezing TRX doesn't just generate Energy or Bandwidth — it also grants TRON Power, which you use to vote for a Super Representative. Voters receive a share of that SR's block rewards. This calculator applies the highest rate currently paid among the 27 elected Super Representatives to the TRX amount in your conversion, so you see the full picture: resources and voting reward, from the same frozen TRX.
